Environmental issues do not always affect ecological conditions; they can also be related to an individual’s psychological state. One psychological response to the threat of environmental degradation and future conditions is eco-anxiety, which can be linked to an individual’s psychological well-being. This study aims to examine the effect of eco-anxiety on psychological well-being among college students. The study employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The total sample consisted of 256 college students in Indonesia aged 18 to 29 years, recruited using convenience sampling. Data were collected via a questionnaire containing the eco-anxiety scale (HEAS-13) and the psychological well-being scale (Ryff’s simplified 18-item model), both of which had been adapted to the Indonesian context. Data analysis used simple linear regression to determine the relationship between eco-anxiety and psychological well-being. The results of the analysis showed a negative and statistically significant effect (B = −0.179; β = −0.239; t = −3.916; p < 0.001; R² = 0.057). The results of this study indicate that eco-anxiety has a negative and statistically significant effect on psychological well-being among college students. These findings suggest that the higher the level of eco-anxiety experienced by students, the lower their psychological well-being. Thus, eco-anxiety is one of the factors associated with psychological well-being.
