https://ejournal.undar.or.id/index.php/sumbula/article/view/1463

This research examines the phenomenon of tourism destination homogenization in Gili Trawangan, Lombok, which is increasingly losing its local identity due to the dominance of global market logic and capitalism. Amidst the currents of 21st-century globalization, tourism tends to move toward the uniformity of architectural styles, facilities, culinary offerings, and lifestyles that disregard local cultural norms. Using a qualitative-descriptive method with a case study approach, this study aims to analyze the forms of eroding local identity and the impact of homogenization on the socio-cultural transformation of the Gili Trawangan community. The results indicate that development oriented toward short-term profit and the preferences of international tourists has led to cultural commodification, where local symbols serve merely as tourism ornaments. The dominance of foreign investors, coupled with the local community's limited capital and access to knowledge, has resulted in economic inequality and a shift in power. Lombok’s identity, known for being religious and hospitable, is slowly fading, replaced by a global entertainment culture that is inconsistent with the concept of a halal destination. Although glocalization theory offers room for adaptation, the reality on the ground shows that local people have largely become spectators of development on their own land. This research concludes the need for stricter regulations and policies that favor collective welfare to protect the cultural uniqueness of Gili Trawangan from the threat of global uniformity.

Muhammad AzamAshri Ramadhan

https://ejournal.undar.or.id/index.php/sumbula/article/view/1467

This research examines the local wisdom of the Dieng Highlands community through the Ruwatan Rambut Gimbal tradition as an effort to maintain harmony between humans, nature, and the spiritual dimension. The phenomenon of dreadlocks is considered a "mandate" that carries implications for children's well-being, thus requiring a purification ritual to free them from misfortune (sukerta). This study aims to analyze the strategies for preserving these cultural values amidst modernization. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with traditional leaders, and documentation studies. The results indicate that the existence of this tradition is maintained through synergistic collaboration between the community, local government, and cultural communities via the Dieng Culture Festival (DCF). This tradition functions not only as a sacred ritual and social identity binder but also provides a positive economic impact on local welfare through cultural tourism. In conclusion, Dieng's local wisdom is dynamic and adaptive; it successfully integrates traditional values into modern platforms without losing its sacred essence, ensuring the sustainability of cultural heritage for future generations.
Rifqi FathulhudaNur Aini Zakiyatin

https://ejournal.undar.or.id/index.php/sumbula/article/view/1481

Ahmad Zaki Sujai

https://ejournal.undar.or.id/index.php/sumbula/article/view/1484

This study seeks to examine the community-based da’wah model from a da’wah management perspective through the ideas of Emha Ainun Nadjib. A qualitative approach with a library research method is employed, utilizing primary sources derived from Emha Ainun Nadjib’s works and supported by relevant scholarly journal articles. Data collection is conducted through documentation, while the analysis applies content analysis using a descriptive-analytical framework.

The findings indicate that the community-based da’wah model proposed by Emha Ainun Nadjib is characterized by participatory, dialogical, humanistic, non-hierarchical, and cultural dimensions. These principles are reflected in the practice of the Maiyah community, which functions as an open and egalitarian space for interaction. From the perspective of da’wah management, this model demonstrates alignment with managerial functions, including planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling, although it is not implemented through rigid formal structures. This approach effectively enhances community participation and fosters contextual collective awareness.

In conclusion, the community-based da’wah model in Emha Ainun Nadjib’s thought can be considered a relevant contemporary strategy that is adaptive, inclusive, and oriented toward community empowerment.
Ikhlasud DafaHanik MaimunaM. https://ejournal.undar.or.id/index.php/sumbula/article/view/1490

Hadyan Hashfi MSMustariFirman Umar

https://ejournal.undar.or.id/index.php/sumbula/article/view/1491

Imam Syafi'iFauza Wayah AzhariFathur Rofi'i

https://ejournal.undar.or.id/index.php/sumbula/article/view/1446

The growing "Marriage Is Scary" phenomenon on TikTok reflects a shift in Generation Z's perspective on the institution of marriage within the context of digital culture. This trend highlights narratives of fear of long-term commitment, domestic conflict, economic pressure, and gender role inequality. This study aims to analyze the representation of communication strategies between Generation Z parents and children to uncover this phenomenon on TikTok and understand the dynamics of intergenerational communication that are formed. This research shows that social media plays a role in shaping the construction of the meaning of marriage through the fragmentation of negative narratives that are then internalized in Generation Z's perceptions. However, this influence is not deterministic. Family communication has been shown to be a dominant factor in shaping children's final attitudes toward marriage. Parents employ four main communication strategies: normative-religious, dialogical, role-modeling, and adapting to digital culture. Meanwhile, children's responses demonstrate the dynamics between the influence of social media and family experiences. This study concludes that the "Marriage Is Scary" phenomenon is not a rejection of marriage, but rather a reflection of the transformation in how the younger generation interprets commitment in a digital society. Healthy and open family communication is key to bridging intergenerational perspectives
Fithri Az-ZahraLies Utami Efni Safitri

https://ejournal.undar.or.id/index.php/sumbula/article/view/1499

This article examines the epistemic architecture that Orientalism has long employed to assert its intellectual supremacy over the study of Islamic law, thereby producing a hierarchy of knowledge that places sharia in a position of methodological inferiority and historical stagnation. This study demonstrates how colonial genealogy, representational bias, and disciplinary asymmetry have shaped the dominant interpretation of Islamic law within the global academic discourse. Drawing on insights from Said, Asad, Bhabha, and Santos, this analysis uncovers the mechanisms of epistemic distortion, epistemicide, and hermeneutic constraints that have limited the autonomy of Islamic legal reasoning.

This study adopts a library-based qualitative design that conducts an in-depth examination of how knowledge about Islam has historically been constructed, distorted, and exploited within asymmetrical power structures. such as Scopus, Web of Science, and JSTOR. Data analysis employs a three-part strategy. First, Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA). Second, this study applies a postcolonial reading strategy to uncover acts of representation, silencing, and epistemic domination. Third, the method of comparative hermeneutics

This finding underscores the need to formulate an epistemology of Islamic law that is free from colonialism—one that re-establishes uṣūl al-fiqh as a dynamic intellectual tradition, prioritizes maqāṣid al-sharīʿa as the teleological horizon for legal renewal, and embraces epistemic plurality as an antidote to Eurocentric universalism.
Ilham TohariZayad Abd. https://ejournal.undar.or.id/index.php/sumbula/article/view/1492

ABSTRACT

This study aims to analyze the role of educational da'wah within the Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyah movement and to identify institutional limitations that affect its intellectual production. Educational da'wah serves as a fundamental foundation for promoting the renewal of religious thought in Indonesia; however, in the contemporary context, it faces institutional constraints that hinder the optimal use of education as a basis for knowledge production. This research employs a qualitative approach with a library research design, analyzing relevant literature using historical-institutional, sociology of education, and capital theory approaches. The findings indicate that weak educational institutionalization directly affects the limited production of knowledge. The absence of representative higher education institutions, the limited accumulation of social, economic, and symbolic capital, and the lack of a structured academic cadre system have resulted in sporadic intellectual production that has not developed into a sustainable scholarly tradition. Therefore, strengthening Al-Irsyad requires institutional transformation through the development of higher education, the strengthening of academic cadre formation, and the establishment of an integrated and sustainable knowledge-production ecosystem.

Keywords : Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyah, institutional limitations, knowledge production.
Moh Mujib KarimAffan MaulidiAmir Maliki Abitolkha

https://ejournal.undar.or.id/index.php/sumbula/article/view/1516

This article aims to analyze the dynamics of the TikTok algorithm in shaping self-regulated religious behavior among students at MTs Miftahul Huda Pulosari Kediri. The focus of the research is directed toward the influence of religious content in the For Your Page (FYP) on the construction of religious meaning, self-regulation, and students' religious behavior. This article uses a qualitative approach with a case study design based on social constructivism. Data were collected thru semi-structured interviews, participatory observations, and documentation of students and teachers who were purposively selected based on the intensity of TikTok usage and exposure to religious content. Data analysis was conducted thru data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was maintained thru triangulation, member checking, and audit trail. The research results show that the TikTok algorithm shapes students' religious experiences thru exposure to personal, repetitive, and engagement-based content. Religious content in the FYP tends to produce affective, fragmentary, and performative religiosity, thereby creating a tension between digital religious visibility and the internalization of religious values in daily life. This article also finds that students' self-regulation of religiosity is influenced by algorithmic exposure and social mediation of madrasahs. Theoretically, this article contributes to the development of digital religiosity studies thru the Algorithmic–Social–Cognitive Religious Formation (ASCRF) model, which explains the interaction between algorithmic systems, cognitive regulation, and social mediation in the formation of students' digital religiosity.
Nanda Ayu PransischaSandi Ferdy YuliantoSufirmansyah

https://ejournal.undar.or.id/index.php/sumbula/article/view/1532

ABSTRACT

The relationship between family law and Indonesian society is dynamic and complex due to the coexistence of three legal systems: Islamic law, customary law, and colonial civil law. This diversity creates tensions between religious values, local traditions, and the demands of modernity, often triggering conflicts as well as accommodations. This paper aims to analyze the dynamics of interactions between family legal systems and identify forms of conflict and inequality in access to justice in Indonesia's plural society.

This research is library research, employing a socio-legal approach along with structural functionalism theory and Luhmann's legal system theory. The data were obtained through document studies of laws, the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI), court decisions, books, and journals. The analysis was conducted using a qualitative, descriptive-analytical approach.

The findings show that people tend to negotiate between legal systems pragmatically, choosing the system that is most beneficial or aligns with their values. The interaction between legal systems takes three main forms: accommodation, negotiation, and open conflict. However, inequality of access to justice remains a serious challenge, especially for lower-class communities who prefer to resolve disputes through customary means or religious leaders due to complicated and expensive court procedures. In conclusion, family law in Indonesia must be understood as a living and ever-changing social reality, not merely as statutory texts. An adaptive and accommodative approach that favors vulnerable groups is needed to realize social justice amidst diversity.

Keywords: family law, legal pluralism, social dynamics
Fauzul Kabir

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Inquiry Training model in Fiqh learning for grade IX students at SMP Islam Khoiru Ummah Malang.

A qualitative case study approach was employed, with data collected through observation, semi-structured interviews with one Fiqh teacher and eight students, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model.

The findings indicate that the implementation of Inquiry Training followed Joyce’s five syntaxes: problem presentation, data verification, experimentation, data organization, and reflection. However, the practice remained at the guided inquiry level. The teacher acted as a facilitator but still dominated the learning process, limiting students’ autonomy. Supporting factors included the relevance of Fiqh materials to students’ daily lives, the teacher’s guiding role, and analytical exercises. Inhibiting factors were students’ fatigue, unstructured discussions, low participation, weak argumentation based on religious evidence, and non-metacognitive reflection. The study concludes that Inquiry Training effectively promotes active and contextual Fiqh learning. Strengthening investigative worksheets, forming heterogeneous groups, and enhancing metacognitive reflection are needed to advance toward independent inquiry.
Ceni Amalia Ayu LestariAbdul BashithMohamad Zubad Nurul Yaqin

ABSTRACT

Indonesia’s ecological crisis is exacerbated by extractive economic models that degrade natural resources. As the two largest Islamic organizations, Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah possess strategic moral legitimacy to respond to this crisis. This study analyzes the eco-theological orientation of Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah and identifies the gap between normative narratives and structural change. Employing a qualitative approach, this research uses literature review and document analysis of fatwas, congress decisions, and environmental programs from 2010-2024. The findings show that the eco-theological orientation of both organizations remains predominantly normative-communitarian, focusing on moral education, ecological da’wah, and local micro-actions. While effective in raising awareness, this approach has not addressed the root causes related to macro political-economic policies and unequal resource governance. To bridge this gap, this article proposes the concept of “structural eco-theology” as an alternative framework. Structural eco-theology integrates Islamic theological foundations with public policy advocacy, cross-sector coalitions, and corporate accountability mechanisms. This framework directs religious moral legitimacy to promote regulatory reform and natural resource governance toward systematic and sustainable ecological justice.

Keywords : Structural eco-theology, extractivism, Nahdlatul Ulama, Muhammadiyah, public policy
Mim Maulana MubarokAmir Maliki AbitolkhaMuhammad Yusuf Marjani

This study examines the implications of this policy on the linguistic identity of Kazakh adolescents using an ethnolinguistic approach. Drawing on Fishman’s framework of language maintenance and shift and Edwards’ theory of language and group identity, this study synthesizes literature and education reports from 2005–2025. The findings show that the formal education domain has undergone Mongolization: Mongolian dominates core subjects, examinations, and certification, while Kazakh is reduced to a subject with limited hours. In contrast, Kazakh remains strong in family and community domains as a symbol of ethnicity, family closeness, and Islamic affiliation. This condition produces asymmetrical bilingualism and dual linguistic identities that adolescents negotiate at school, at home, and in digital spaces. The article recommends mother-tongue-based bilingual education, Mongolian-as-a-second-language teacher training, and support for Kazakh-language digital ecosystems to slow language shift and strengthen Kazakh maintenance in Mongolia.

Keywords : asymmetrical bilingualism, Bayan-Ölgii, Kazakh minority, language identity, language maintenance
Viki Mayanfa'ukiAmir Maliki AbitolkhaVina Nur 'Afiyah

https://ejournal.undar.or.id/index.php/sumbula/article/view/1552

ABSTRACT

This study aims to examine the role of mind mapping in fostering students' learning independence in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at SMK Unitomo Surabaya, analyzed within the framework of Self-Regulated Learning (SRL). This study is motivated by the persistent dominance of teacher-centered approaches in PAI classrooms, which has resulted in limited cognitive and metacognitive engagement among students. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed. The research subjects were 22 tenth-grade students from the Computer and Network Engineering (TKJ) program, selected purposively. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of students' mind maps. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, while credibility was established through source triangulation, technique triangulation, and member checking. The findings reveal that mind mapping functions as an effective SRL scaffolding tool across all three phases of Zimmerman's framework: in the forethought phase, it promotes structured planning and meaningful goal-setting; in the performance phase, it activates cognitive engagement and the independent construction of connections among Islamic values; and in the self-reflection phase, it facilitates self-evaluation and proactive improvement of understanding. The central finding was that 22 students reported a tangible increase in learning independence, marked by self-initiated study behaviors outside the classroom without waiting for teacher instructions. This finding was further confirmed by almost all participants through the member checking process. This study repositions mind mapping as a strategy that systematically builds students’ self-regulatory capacity, not merely a visualization tool.

Keywords : mind mapping, learning independence, self-regulated learning, Islamic Religious Education, case study
Iffatut TazkiyyahEvi Fatimatur RusydiyahFaqih Abdul Aziz

https://ejournal.undar.or.id/index.php/sumbula/article/view/1554

ABSTRACT

The authenticity and codification of the Qur’an remain central debates in contemporary Qur’anic studies. John Wansbrough’s historical theory posits the Qur’an as a product of prolonged communal redaction, completed long after the Prophet Muhammad. In contrast, M. Quraish Shihab argues for a systematic transmission grounded in revelation, collective memorization, and historical verification. This study critically examines the methodological assumptions of Wansbrough’s theory and reconstructs Shihab’s epistemological framework on Qur’anic authenticity and codification. Using qualitative hermeneutic library research with a comparative approach, this study analyzes primary and secondary sources through textual analysis, codicology, and qirāʾāt studies. Findings show that Wansbrough’s theory suffers from three main weaknesses: uncritical application of biblical criticism to Islamic tradition, neglect of oral transmission, and excessive historical inference with limited manuscript engagement. Conversely, Shihab develops an integrative epistemology combining revelation, rational inquiry, and linguistic analysis. The critical dialogue between both perspectives leads to a Synthetic Qur’anic Epistemology comprising transcendental, historical-transmissional, and textual-linguistic dimensions. This study contributes an interdisciplinary model integrating philology, codicology, radiocarbon analysis, and sanad-qirāʾāt studies to balance academic rigor with the epistemological foundations of Islamic revelatory tradition.

Keywords : John Wansbrough; M. https://ejournal.undar.or.id/index.php/sumbula/article/view/1553

ABSTRACT

The emergence and growth of Ma’had Aly as a pesantren-based higher education institution mark a significant transformation of Islamic education in contemporary Indonesia. This article analyzes Ma’had Aly as a national phenomenon through five dimensions: institutional growth, state policy, ulama cadre formation, transformation of religious authority, and the politics of pesantren prestige. Employing a qualitative library research approach framed by the sociology of knowledge—Max Weber’s theory of authority, Pierre Bourdieu’s symbolic capital, and Talal Asad’s discursive tradition—data were drawn from government regulations, Ministry of Religious Affairs statistics, and academic literature. The findings show that Ma’had Aly expanded from 27 institutions in 2017 to 91 institutions by March 2025. Beyond functioning as an institution for ulama cadre formation, Ma’had Aly operates as a mechanism for the institutionalization of religious authority and the reproduction of pesantren symbolic capital. Its establishment reflects pesantren responses to modernity while simultaneously becoming an arena of prestige contestation within the national socio-religious field. The novelty of this study lies in synthesizing Weber–Bourdieu–Asad to explain Ma’had Aly as both a cadreization project and an arena of symbolic struggle.

Keywords : Ma’had Aly, Religious Authority, Symbolic Capital, Pesantren, Islamic Higher Education
muhammad yusuf_marjaniAmir Maliki AbitolkhaArhanMim Maulana Mubarok

https://ejournal.undar.or.id/index.php/sumbula/article/view/1555

This study aims to analyze the paradox of French secularism or laïcité, which promises universal equality but instead results in structural exclusion for Muslim communities. Using a qualitative approach with a literature review, this research applies Philippe Bourbeau's securitization theory framework to examine various legal documents, public policy texts, and media discourse from 1905 to 2023. The main findings show that the principle of laïcité has undergone a transformation of function from a foundation of state neutrality to an instrument of securitization that legitimizes institutionalized Islamophobia. Data analysis reveals that state and media actors systematically frame Muslim identities and their religious attributes as an existential threat to republican values, leading to social alienation. This study concludes that national cohesion can only be achieved through a paradigm shift from a security approach to an inclusive model of secularism based on human rights that accommodates pluralism without discrimination. The novelty lies in integrating postcolonial critique with Bourbeau’s securitization to explain gendered Islamophobia in French laïcité.

Keywords : Laïcité, Structural Islamophobia, France.
Ahmad MukafiAbd A'laAmir Maliki Abitolkha

ABSTRACT

This library research is motivated by the integrity crisis of the digital era and the imbalance of hard skills without moral maturity among the younger generation. This study aims to formulate the integration of ideal characters using the Thematic Exegesis (Maudhu’i) method on the twin pillars of Al-Qawiy (competence) and Al-Amin (integrity). The primary data refer to Surah Al-Qashas: 26, Surah An-Naml: 39, as well as the authoritative exegesis books of Al-Misbah, Al-Azhar, and Ibn Kathir. A qualitative approach with interpretive hermeneutics is used to synthesize textual meanings into operational indicators. The results show that Al-Qawiy and Al-Amin are universal complementary pillars. The Al-Qawiy character is transformed into professional capability, digital proficiency, and mental resilience. Meanwhile, Al-Amin is manifested in integrity, transparency, and work accountability. The reactualization of these twin pillars is effective as a concrete solution to break structural corruption and business ethics manipulation. This formulation can be adopted as a standard operating procedure (SOP) for the work ethics of young entrepreneurs and academic instructional materials.

Keywords : Al-Amin; Al-Qawiy; Entrepreneurship; Professional Integrity; Thematic Exegesis
Abdul RazakFarid WajdiFitri Kumalasari

https://ejournal.undar.or.id/index.php/sumbula/article/view/1559

The construction of religious identity among minority Islamic organizations within Indonesia’s religious moderation landscape represents a complex and continuously negotiated terrain. This article presents a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of 30 national and international journal articles to map how academic literature constructs the religious identity of Lembaga Dakwah Islam Indonesia (LDII) amid the tension between inherited historical stigma and demands to adapt to religious moderation discourse. Drawing on Berger-Luckmann’s Social Construction theory and Goffman’s Stigma theory, qualitative thematic synthesis produced three main themes: construction of stigma and exclusivism labeling; dynamics of adaptation and identity renegotiation; and LDII’s positioning within the hegemony of national religious moderation discourse. Findings reveal that LDII’s religious identity is fluid, negotiated, and contextual not a static entity imprisoned by historical stigma. LDII actively responds to stigmatization through institutional transformation, social philanthropy, and theological reorientation toward moderation. This study contributes to the sociology of religion in Indonesia by offering a discursive map that transcends the stigma-adaptation dichotomy, and implies the urgency of more inclusive religious moderation policies for all Islamic movement entities in Indonesia.
Faqih Abdul AzizRohmat Robi' RozaqiyAdept Wahyu WijayaIffatut TazkiyyahAbdullah Hasan Busri

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the “Pasti Aksi Pasti Literasi” learning model in developing students’ life skills at MTs Unggulan Darul Falah Jerukmacan Mojokerto. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that the “Pasti Aksi Pasti Literasi” learning model was able to increase students’ active participation through the integration of literacy activities, real actions, and value reflections in the learning process. The implementation of this model positively contributed to the development of students’ personal skills, social skills, academic skills, and spiritual skills. In addition, literacy- and action-based learning created a more contextual, collaborative, and meaningful learning atmosphere. Supporting factors included teacher competence, school literacy culture, and adequate learning facilities, while inhibiting factors included limited learning time and differences in students’ literacy abilities. This study indicates that the “Pasti Aksi Pasti Literasi” model is relevant as an innovative learning model in Islamic Religious Education to address the challenges of 21st-century education.
Muhammad Assyauqii Zam ZamiRofiatul Hosna

https://ejournal.undar.or.id/index.php/sumbula/article/view/1581

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Al-Barzanji recitation tradition and to identify the moral education values embedded within it in Nglegok Hamlet, Kranding Village, Mojo District, Kediri Regency. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which includes data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the Al-Barzanji recitation tradition is still regularly practiced in various religious and social activities within the community. This tradition functions not only as a religious ritual but also as a medium for moral education. The moral values identified include devotion to Allah SWT, respect for Prophet Muhammad SAW, obedience to parents, responsibility toward children and family, and positive social behavior. These values are internalized through the recitation and appreciation of the exemplary life stories of Prophet Muhammad SAW contained in the Al-Barzanji text. Furthermore, the tradition contributes to strengthening social solidarity, preserving religious identity, and maintaining local Islamic cultural heritage amid social change.

Keywords : Moral Education Values; Character Building, Al-Barzanji Book; Tradition of Reciting Shalawat; Living Islam.
Erika Diyah Ayu UtariBagus Wahyu SetyawanAmelia Nailul MunaNurul Hidayatut ThoyibahBilqis Malika Auliya

https://ejournal.undar.or.id/index.php/sumbula/article/view/1586

Sufism, as a tradition of Islamic mysticism, places the human spiritual journey at the core of the divine quest. This article focuses on the experience of Baqa, the continuity of consciousness after the annihilation of the Fana self. As a phenomenon that can be analyzed through Husserl's Epoche method, which suspends empirical worldly assumptions to reveal the pure structure of consciousness. The main argument is that Baqa and Epoche have parallel phenomenological structures, both requiring self-suspension so that deeper realities can be authentically present. This study aims to examine how Husserl's phenomenological framework can function as an analytical instrument to understand Sufi mystical experience in the context of contemporary Muslim thought. Using a qualitative approach based on a literature review (Library Research), this study integrates three analytical perspectives: the hermeneutics of classical Sufi texts, the psychology of spiritual experience, and a socio-anthropological examination of Mysticism as a cultural phenomenon. These findings demonstrate that the Husserlian Phenomenological approach is not only methodologically relevant, but opens up new epistemic spaces for contemporary Muslim thought to critically and transformatively reflect on its Sufi spiritual heritage.

Keywords: Baqa, Epoche and Sufism
Zahrotul FaridahSuadi SaadSholahuddin Al Ayubi

This study aims to analyze family communication messages of da’wah in the Islam Itu Indah program delivered by Ustaz Maulana on the Islam Itu Indah Official YouTube channel. The research employs qualitative content analysis with a phenomenological approach to understand the meaning, context, and experiences embedded in da’wah messages. Data in the form of sermon videos were analyzed descriptively following Huberman’s model: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The study focuses on three main themes: the concept of “the highest throne at home”, “mami papi gen z is on fire”, and “husbands should not be stingy to wives”. Findings reveal that da’wah messages do not emphasize hierarchical or dominant family relationships, but rather present a husband-wife partnership built on cooperation, deliberation, and shared responsibility. The effectiveness of message delivery is influenced by the preacher’s interactive communication style, spontaneous humor, strong nonverbal expressions, and the use of popular language relatable to the audience’s daily life. The findings confirm that da’wah through television and social media serves a dual function: conveying religious norms while acting as adaptive education responsive to the dynamics of modern family life, thereby strengthening awareness of the family as a harmonious spiritual partnership space.
Muhammad Sholehuddin Al QadriMuktarruddin
